CHOCOLATE RUM OR BRANDY TRUFFLES

Equipment

  • Sweet cases
  • mixing bowl
  • jug

Ingredients

  • 50 g Dark Chocolate
  • tbsp dark rum or brandy
  • 25 g butter
  • oz Icing sugar
  • oz Ground almonds
  • 1 tsp Cocoa

Instructions

  • Place chocolate in a dry jug. Melt over a pan of water. (Melt in microwave)
  • Stir in alcohol
  • Gradually add butter – it should melt into the mixture.
  • Add icing sugar and ground almonds.
  • Mix well
  • Chill for at least 30 mins
  • Roll into balls
  • Roll in cocoa
  • Place in sweet cases
  • Keep for 2 weeks
