HAM and CHEESE PLAIT
Equipment
- Baking tray – greased and floured
- rolling pin
- scissors
Ingredients
- ½ lb Bread dough
- 4 oz Wafer thin cooked ham
- 2 tbsp Chopped Parsley 1tbsp if using dried
- 6 oz Grated cheese
- 2 oz butter
Instructions
- Roll out dough to 12 inch square.
- It is a good idea to place on your baking tray at this stage.
- Arrange ham evenly down the middle third of the dough, leaving 2 inches free on either side.
- Sprinkle over cheese and parsley.
- Make slanting cuts each side of the dough, (use scissors), within 1 inch of the filling.
- Fold in the strips.
- Leave to rise.
- Bake 10 mins Gas 7, Electric 220 C, Fan 200 C, reduce to Gas 5, Electric 190 C, Fan 170 C for further 25 mins (cover with foil if becoming too brown)
