GINGERBREAD

- 8" Square Lined Tin
- mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 250 g Plain Flour
- 2½ tsp Ground Ginger
- ½ tsp Mixed Spice
- 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
- 2 Eggs
- 100 g Margarine
- 100 g Brown Sugar
- 8 tbsp Black Treacle
- ¼ pint Hot Water
Instructions
- Sieve flour,spice and bicarbonate of soda into bowl
- Melt sugar,margarine,syrup and black treacle. Cool slightly
- Beat eggs
- Combine syrup mixture with flour,egg and hot water. Put into an 8" square,lined tin
- Bake for 45 mins
