SHORTBREAD BISCUITS
Preheat oven Electric 180 C/Fan 160 C, Gas 4
Servings: 65 people
- 300 g butter 10½ oz
- 120 g icing sugar 4 oz
- 150 g custard powder 5 oz
- 280 g plain flour 10 oz
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
Sieve icing sugar, flour and custard powder together. Mix well
Add butter and vanilla essence
Rub in butter – can use a mixer
Mix to a smooth dough – you might need to add a little milk if it is too dry
Shape into balls
Press down with a fork
Bake for approx. 10 mins
Store in air tight tin
