GARLIC and CHEESE WHIRLS

Divide dough into 2 (you could use the other half to make the plait or to make rolls)

Equipment

  • rolling pin

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Bread dough
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 oz butter
  • 6 oz Grated Cheese (150g)

Instructions

  • Grease and flour 8 inch cake tin
  • Crush garlic and mix with butter
  • Roll dough to a rectangle on a lightly floured board.
  • Spread the garlic butter over the dough.
  • Sprinkle over the cheese.
  • Roll up as you would a Swiss Roll
  • Cut into about 8 pieces.
  • Shape
  • Place in cake tin
  • Flatten down.
  • Leave to double in size.
  • Bake for 20 – 25 mins.
